More Popular Dead or Alive?

This storyline DEFINITELY increased the buzz about Cap. I've been a fan for 25 years and he NEVER got this kind of recognition outside of everyday comic fans. It's funny because I personally was very upset when Steve was killed, but I really grew to like the Bucky storyline and the possibilities. It made me realize how stale the same old tangled plotlines and re-run baddies were getting. Then they bring Steve back and I was like ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? However, having him give up the shield and move on is the right way to go. I like that transition for both characters and I guess the assassination was the key to getting attention and sales for the book. Quite brilliant as I think about it now...

Captain America stirs it up....

You know I really never saw it in that light. I, like many others, just assumed that it was more of a Patriot Act type of thing, but now that the writer mentions it, the view represented makes perfect sense.

Anyhow I was 100% Anti-Registration during the year of 2006. I had such a hate of Iron Man that I am just recently opening up to the idea of liking him since the second movie is coming out and looks really cool.

Its about time Bucky steps it up...

...By rolling out with a massive assault rifle like the one Nick Fury wields in Siege. It would make me happy to see Bucky take a turn with the massive small arms like Cable from the X-men. He does after all have a an artificial arm that can withstand a great deal of force I can imagine so he can probably withstand the kick.

Anyhow its just a thought I had when I saw Bucky Cap in a page of Siege #3 rolling out with the rest of the Avenger crew.

Captain America - Issue #1 - Poster

Be careful as there is a seller on ebay which sells these comic posters detached from the poster book for $12.50 + shipping EACH.
Not that there is anything wrong with him selling these posters.
It's just that why pay about $15.50 shipped for one poster, when you can get the same poster plus an entire poster book of Cap posters for $5.99 retail?

Here is a link to a poster book on ebay....

Again though, if you are looking for a poster of Cap #1 at a bigger size then 10.75" X 16".....I don't know if one exisit in the market today unless it is vintage.

The contenders for the Cap role are......

I liked LEATHERHEADS. It was the in-flight movie for me coming back from Europe and I bought it when it came out used on DVD.

I enjoyed IT'S COMPLICATED which also had Krasinski but he didn't do enough in that film to distinguish myself from his character from The Office. Any shots of him with his hands in his pockets and people are going to think "Jim".

I also very much enjoy THE OFFICE. It might be my favorite show on TV right now. And yet there are times when the actor has to stretch a little more with his emotions like last week's episode when Pam was having her baby and Krasinski needed to show more range as the father but didn't, IMO.

I personally liked the Nomad story, and have liked most everything with Rikki Barnes to date.

I will be picking up the book, especially since I really loved the original Niciez book.
